They are: Attitude, Caring, Class, Discipline, Enthusiasm, Excellence, Faith/Belief, Focus, Gratitude, Handling Adversity, Heroes/Winners, Hope, Humility, Love, Persistence, Responsibility, Team, Toughness and Work.

With my M.V.P. program, I use these fundamentals in middle schools and high schools to engage lively, fun and interesting discussions once a week.

The goal of the M.V.P. program is to get students to understand that being a winner in life doesn't always mean winning on the playing field. The M.V.P. program is about understanding that if you try to incorporate one or more of the ``Fundamentals For Winners'' everyday, you can become a winner in the game of life, every day of your life!
David Lee Morgan, Jr.'s ``M.V.P. (Most Valuable Person) Program''

Whether you like sports or not, everyone can be an M.V.P. (Most Valuable Person) in life. It doesn't matter how fast you can run, how many points your score, or how far you can throw a ball, and it doesn't matter if you can't do any of those things. What's most important is that you try to be the best person you can be everyday.

That's what I learned from Ohio State Football Coach Jim Tressel while he was the head football coach at Youngstown State University during my collegiate days at YSU.

I didn't play football for Coach Tressel, but I did play baseball at YSU for a short time. All of my roommates at YSU were football players and they played for Coach Tressel and what I learned from my roommates were the   ``Fundamentals For Winners'' that Coach Tressel taught them. He taught his players that there was more to life than the game of football and in order for them to be successful long after their playing days were over, they needed to embrace the ``Fundamentals For Winners.''
